ABB IRB 6640 M2004 IRC5 235/2.55

The High payload robot is available in five versions, with a handling capacity of up to 235 kg and a reach of up to 2550 mm. It is an evolution of the famous IRB6600 and boasts absolute accuracy. The robot is faster and has a new shape that allows for a wider working envelope in axis 2 and 3. It features a single spring counterbalance system, following the Kuka and Fanuc philosophy (Kuka series 2000 and Fanuc R2000). The IRB 6640 comes with a built-in Service Information System, making it easier to plan for service and maintenance.

The robot is equipped with ABB's latest IRC5

controller, which is their fifth generation robot controller. The controller's motion control technology, TrueMove & QuickMove, is crucial to the robot's performance in terms of accuracy, speed, cycle-time, programmability, and synchronization with external devices.
